PERSONAL PROFILE
Please let me take this time to thank you for visiting my profile, and to introduce myself. I have been born & raised here on the Clarendon County side of Lake Marion. The Santee Cooper Lakes Region is highlighted by Lake Marion & Lake Moultrie. The 2 lakes total 170,000 acres. The Santee Cooper Lakes are governed by Santee Cooper Public Service Authority and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Due to the restrictions of these entities, only, roughly, 25% of the combined lakeshore will ever be developed. Development has already touched 22% of the shoreline. In my opinion there is no better place to live. There are so many things to do and see whether you like golfing, boating, fishing, hunting, wildlife, history, or shopping, we have it all right here. One of the biggest things I love about our area is that you live in the country or either a small town environment, but you are still very close to several large towns and cities including Charleston, Columbia, Florence, Sumter, Summerville, Walterboro, and Monks Corner which are all less than an hour away. Our cost of living here is also generally very low. Please pay us a visit so you can see for yourself what a great place this is to live.
